active tags with 50 m range at a cost level of 30 US cent.

The technology is based on a receiver design constantly in operation
in an ultra-low power mode. This implies no need for complex
communication protocol with synchronization and extremely low
power consumption. The air interface features an arbitration mechanism
enabling search for en explicit device among millions of tags in
less than 1 millisecond.
